The DoctorsMeet the Doctors at our Kirkland Dental Practice
Colin P. Del Rosario, DDS
I am so happy to be a dentist! I feel privileged to be given the opportunity to build relationships, educate the community, and grow as a person each day in my profession at Paramount Dental Center, your Kirkland dentist.
Education and Continuing Education
For my dental education, I earned my Doctor of Dental Ssurgery from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. I completed my dental education with knowledge of the most advanced technologies and methods in dentistry. Because my profession changes constantly and being a true professional means continued learning and growth, I always stay aware of emerging dental advancements. As part of my continuing education, I regularly participate in educational courses and clubs to improve and grow my skills. I am a graduate of the world-renowned Kois Center for Advanced Dental Education, as well as the Esthetic Professionals Comprehensive Dentistry Study Club.
In the Practice
I love doing dentistry, plain and simple. I feel that I am playing rather than working when I am taking care of your teeth. The first time you walk in our Kirkland dental office door, you will feel the friendliness of the people in the practice, and it is my goal that you always feel welcome. My team gives me an opportunity to have a fantastic time being a dentist day in and day out. Our patients show their commitment to us by coming in year after year, and we are committed to always providing the highest quality services for them.
Although I was born in Manila, Philippines, I have lived in the Seattle area for most of my life, and I love it! I have two children named Caleb and Leah. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching the news or sports, and reading. I also enjoy cycling, and have completed the Seattle to Portland bike ride three times!
This profession has given me a chance to give back to the community. I participate in different community fundraising, but my favorite is charity: water. Each month we donate to this great organization whose mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to every person on the planet. I also serve as an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience to dental students in their clinical skills in restorative dentistry.
It is such a pleasure to work at Kirkland dentist, Paramount Dental Center!
I attended the University of Washington and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Following my undergraduate degree, I pursued my dental education at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry.
I completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, California, where I refined my skills in surgical and cosmetic dentistry.
Following my residency training, I pursued a two-year Oral Implantology and Implant Prosthodontics Fellowship at Brookdale University Hospital in New York.
I received advanced surgical training to become a skilled implantologist in the placement of implants, bone grafting, sinus augmentations, esthetic soft tissue management and the restoration of implants from both the single tooth to full mouth rehabilitation.
Why I Love Dentistry
Growing up, I have always had an interest in healthcare, especially dentistry. It has allowed me to exercise my passion as a clinician and to improve the oral health of my patients.
In addition, dentistry has given me the chance to make it possible for patients who have not smiled in a long time to lay a big and healthy beam on the world and be seen as they really are. It can change people’s lives in many, many ways – most of which I am sure I will never know. But, occasionally, a dentist will get a heartfelt `thank you` that makes it all worth it.
I feel very privileged to be able to serve my community and to deliver quality care especially in the area of dental implantology.
I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and I have lived in the Seattle area for most of my life. Despite my wonderful experiences living in California and New York during my residency and fellowship programs, I am still a loyal Washingtonian! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family & friends and being active.
I am so excited to join Dr. Del Rosario, Dr. Abu and the team at Paramount Dental Center!
I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at Seattle Pacific University and went onto earn my D.D.S. at University of Washington School of Dentistry. I graduated at the top of my class while receiving extra training in Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery and Oral Pathology. Though my formal training is done, I continually learn new things in dentistry through continuing education and stay connected with colleagues through study clubs and maintain membership in the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association and Seattle-King County Dental Society.
I am committed to volunteering on a local and global level. Currently, I am involved in the admission process at the University of Washington dental school. I have also done dental mission work in Costa Rica, Panama and Jamaica and hope to return abroad when my son is a little older.
Why I Love Dentistry
As I explored the field of dentistry as a possible career path in undergrad, I found dentistry is a perfect marriage of my interests; science, artistry and relationship. I love working with my hands to create something beautiful that simultaneously improves my patient’s overall health. It is challenging, but greatly rewarding. Needless to say, I’m glad to have chosen dentistry as career.
Family and Fun
I grew up in Winthrop, Washington, but moved to Seattle to go to college and have been in the area ever since. Now, I am proud to be a Kirkland resident and live here with my husband, Tripp, my son, Liam and my dog, Molly. We are avid sports fans and love spending time with family and friends. We love to eat! My husband and I are always looking for new great restaurants to try and we are excited that Liam seems to be developing the same love for food!
